Digital Toybox
Warner Bros. Pictures
(April 2008 - March 2009)
Completed 2010
Environment Artist

Chadam is a series of episodic movies that were created using the Unreal Tournament 3 engine (UT3). In collaboration with Alex Pardee (creator) and Jason Hall (Senior Vice President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and co founder of Monolith Productions Inc.), Digital Toybox created this amazing machinima series.

I worked as an intern in Digital Toybox from April 2008 to March 2009 creating props, weapons, scenes, and a vehicle from thumbnails and real-life references.

Viceroy's Juicer
from Chadam episode 2

This was based on a single image of a food processor. The juicer itself is supposed to take the essence of Viceroy's victims and turn it into a goo that Viceroy absorbs to gain dark powers.

The shader material was set up in Unreal Editor to allow for easy changing of colors and specular level.

Bowen's Art Studio
from Chadam episode 4

The walls, floors, ceiling, paint cans, and other props were used to populate the scene along with assets created by other artists. The painting is not of my creation, but created by Alex Pardee, the original creator of Chadam.

The bedroom is used during the scene where Bowen was kidnapped by Viceroy.

Sandy's Landcruiser Vehicle
from Chadam episode 7

This was based on a combination of Landcruiser blueprints and photo references. The details for the textures were added in UT3 through the Shaders.
